today my wife has her Biometrics appt. I know that she will have her pics and figerprints taken. Does she have to fill out a form as well, if so what questions are on the Biometrics form. Thanks in advance this Website has been VERY informative.

Hi,

I just did it last week. Its very simple, only took like 10 mints

1st step , they will give you a form to fill it ( personal info )

2nd step, someone will give you guide to do f-printers.

You need to bring with your ID. That's it.

If your wife has multiple applications for which she applied (I765, I485, whatever) and she received separate biometrics appointments, she must bring all appointments with her. If she received biometrics appointment only for one application but she has multiple applications, tell her to plead her cause with the officers at the application center, they might agree to take her prints for those applications too.

We filled out several forms, We got recipt notice for these forms, but only one form stated her biometrics date. So she should show all of her recepit forms and ask the biometrics officer if she needs to have her bio's taken again?

Check the biometrics appointment that your wife received to see if it is for all her forms that require biometrics (like I765 and I485), and these are listed on the biometrics appointment. Some people get only one appointment letter listing all applications (it happen so to me), other receive biometrics appointment letters separately for each (like say one bio appointment for the I765, another one for I485), some received the bio appointment letter for only one of the application and not for the other.

When you receive separate letters, those could be for the same or different dates. She has to go at those dates, or your wife's applications would be considered abandoned if she doesn't show up at those dates (like say she goes and does her bio for the I765, and a week later she has the bio for the I485, she has to go to both or bring both letters to her and ask the officers to do the bio for the second application too).

It happen to someone on the November applicants thread to receive the bio only for one application and not for the other. She VERY KINDLY asked the officer if she could do it for both, even though she did not had the bio appointment for the second, and was, in the end, let to do so. But remember, your wife has to be very polite and considerate to those officers (not that it would break any law, but this was rather an exception and favor done to her).

WOW!! Thanks for the info!

Just a little backround info: We were married on March 15 2005, We have spent over $11k in lawyer fess with diff. lawyers and just now with the info we have found on VJ have had any progress. Why didn't I find this site in '05 GRRRRR! :crying: On the bright side maybe the interview will be ALOT easier cause we are going on 4 yrs married, even though we dont have any kids. What do y'all think?

The way the interview will go depends on the officer that you will have the interview. Not a guarantee of easiness if you are married for 4 year now.

The best (and most probable result) is that she will receive her 10 years green card rather than the conditional 2 years one.

Very true,

But the fact that she even has a bio date is HUGE!!! Im just hoping that we get a Nice interview officer, we have nothing to hide, and as you can imagine after 4 years we know each other very well.

It might seem huge for you, after so much money and such a long period. Other than this, it is your /your wife's right, gained for paying the application's processing fees. So, don't get too excited, you're still a long way from the GC. I hope USCIS would prove me wrong, and I hope it will be short :)

I've heard that sometimes there is no interview and the beneficary is just approved is this common? How will I know if she doesn't need an interview?
