Yea, You're right BUT it always leaves me frustrated.... Lunch is in 20 minutes... Maybe I'll call......

I have an info pass appt tomorrow afternoon. I'm so afraid that will end in a bunch of BS lies too. At least I will be face to face with an actual immigration officer.

Good point, calling USCIS can leave you frustrated, but atleast you know that you tried to get an answer. hopefully the Immigration officer is more pleasant to deal with.

I'm putting on the happiest face I can find tomorrow afternoon. I want to scream at them for what they did to me last week....but I will hold it back.

Lol...yup I usually have to go to a conference room to make those calls. Although my cubicle neighbors probably know my case numbers from me just calling from my desk every now and then.

Im so grateful to have an office door to close for those phone calls! although, I have sticky notes on my desk with our NVC case #, so its evident that I call quite often ha!

Im having an emo moment.

I just want to tell you guys how much you rock, how much I appreciate the company during this nightmarish journey, and that I hope everyone gets approved ASAP!

yep, thats how I feel Lisa. Last week i wanted to cry all day and all night. ( still do... dn't know what my problem is) I keep thinking how nice it is to have my friends on VJ who actually understand how I feel.

The customer service person who took my call insisted that Vermont is still working on April 1st. I told him to save the BS. I know there are approvals from late Aug. He told me to get their case numbers and take it up with my congressional officer.

I have this pit in my stomach just thinking about this waiver I will probably have to submit. My attorney told me last night there is a good chance they may approve him without a waiver. And all along I thiought it would be a definate denial at the interview... He told me to relax. ( ha, easy for him to say... his wife is home with him) My mom tells me not to worry about things that haven't happened yet but I am the kind of person who likes to be prepared. I want to know what to expect or not to expect.

Why does the government approve the work visa's in 2 months when there aren't enough jobs for the American's and the people who are here legally already and then they take eons to process a K-3 so a family can be together? Financially, it is better for all of us to have our spouses here for that second income. How many people overstay after receiving a work visa? I'm sure there are MANY and then they get married and just adjust their status if they are under 180 days.... right????

They avoid everything we are going through. I don't see how that is fair.

you are so right Jenn. there are people coming i on work visas(in which companies can pay for an expidite btw!) and yes, im sure there is a large percentage that simply marry and adjust status to stay here.

While the "l.i.f.e" act takes a back seat.

The whole immigration process def needs an overhaul, I think everyone woudl agree there.

Stimulate the economy? give me my husband...he will work any job, spend money and contribute to our household, in turn allowing me to spend more money! Not to mention the higher tax bracket.

But alas, businesses and engaged couples take precedence over families of USC's. (putting on the flame retardant suit for the k-1'ers to attack lol)

I cant believe he told you to take it up with congress.... wow! I did just that, it raised eyebrows and awareness with his office...thats all I can ask for now.
