Ahh, I worked for the 4th. Got off at 10ish. Some of my co-workers and I were trying to see the fireworks out of the stores window. We all agreed it was pretty sad...lol.

I am visiting family friends near Washington DC, just came back from the fireworks by the National Mall. It was great, but I can't stop thinking about my SO... :crying: :crying: :crying: I too hope they will pick up that stack of folders on Monday and start cranking them out.

I am very hopeful that your approval is coming. It seems as if USCIS has been getting them out the last couple of weeks. I know it sucks to hear this, but a little bit more patience and it will soon be over.

Morning!

I wonder if the people at the USCIS are thinking of the lives that are on pause as they look through our paperwork? Everything they look through and process is a piece of our lives to be. I wonder if that helps them try and run things more efficiently? The thing about the waiting/missing/longing for my SO is that I know now I could never want anyone as my partner. This process just makes me miss him and I'd like to think of the empty spot in my heart as a good thing. At least I know exactly what will fill it!

Thanks to everyone for the good luck wishes for us!! I feel like a crazy woman obsessed...Igor's list is my home page at work and at home, and I check my mail and my email constantly. I really don't know how people do it, I feel so blessed that I saw my SO in April and I will see him again at the end of July. I know that there are people who have not seen their SO in many many months and my heart goes out to you, and I hope a speedy reunion for you. :star: And good point gatoula_tou!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for myself and everyone else out there still waiting for approvals. Every day that ticks away is one less day that it's likely we can have a late summer wedding. Let's hope for this week!
