What's the point of that comparison?

That index has to do with the perception of political corruption among politicians and public officials.

Fair enough. Are these stats any good or up to the PD standard?

Murders (per capita) (most recent) by country

Maybe. What's your point?

The 1999 edition of the Guinness Book of Records brought international attention to Palm Island when it named the island the most violent place on earth outside a combat zone. To support this claim it stated statistics such as a murder rate 15 times higher than that of the entire state of Queensland, a life expectancy of 40 years, the highest rate of youth suicide per capita in the world, and a total of 40 suicide fatalities over a period of only five years.[34]

Wow, you learn something new every day! Thanks, Pedro.

Here's another interesting article on Palm Island from the BBC, published December 2004. The article says this about Palm Island: "The rates of violence on Palm Island are amongst the highest in Australia, and some would argue amongst the highest in the world."

Isn't that the place where the government closed everything except for the local pub, and where boys ride horses through the town center and fire slingshots at passing cars?

At the 2006 census Palm Island had 1,984 residents, 93.4% of whom are of indigenous origin.

Interesting you fail to recognize the above. Something you are never shy of pointing out in every single point you make against Australia.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

So what if they're aborigines? It's still in Australia, and we are talking about Australia here, aren't we?

#6 Mexico: 0.130213 per 1,000 people

#43 Australia: 0.0150324 per 1,000 people

But these two places are the same right?
