Salam guys

we called uscis again and we told them about the case and told them too about the misspelling in the translation of the marriage contract

they told us to fix it and send it again

but i wonder

she sisnt ask our names or i dont know even if they have the packet coz i didnt get yet the NOA1 since 2 monthes

anyway am gona to fix it then send it

but i'll send it where?!

coz they already have my packet so how they can know that is my marriage contract

by the way am from seatle-WA

any help or suggestions for the whole case?

I would call and try to talk to a supervisor, if you cant...at least have the operator verify that your case is in the system. You should have received a NOA by now. Once you verify that the file is there, then ask how to submit the corrections.

Why is the spelling so important. I wouldn't bother myself. My spelling of my husband's aame got changed form one passport to the next during this process. And immigration did nohting but change the spelling to the new way on all our correspondence. If it's not even the husband or wife's name on the contract why bother. My contract has a more than one translation mistake but Immigration didn't seem to care.

is the mother the only mispelled name on the contract? if so, i dont think it would pose any problems.

what do you mean she couldnt "verify the sound" you mean like she couldnt verify the name? Im sorry this is happened to you guys, i would resend everything, it sounds like it may have been lost in transit or they lost it at the service center. send everything in again...thats what i would do, since uscis cant really give you an answer if it is there or not.

Did they cash her fee check? Thats your proof that they received the petition!

If so, have her get those records and call the congressman to investigate as to where the file is.

oh no!

gosh, this is a horrible situation Engo! I would hate for you guys to have to pay the fee again, but if it was me..I would rather pay it again and send in the whole petition, then wait around only to find out months from now that they really did not receive it.

If USCIS did receive it, I would think they would iform you that they received a duplicate, but i dont know...

Try to post the topic in the cr1 forum and see if you get anymore advise. Maybe someone has experienced this before.

If she has the stub that was attached to the receipt it can still be checked to see if it was cashed.
