Hello N400-2011,

After experiencing the traumatic phase, I subconsciously still feel like a victim. And now the next phase is to wait and see what happens with my VAWA. I hope it gets approved. But I agree with you, I should go ahead and change my name...will do that. Thank you.

Can someone please reply where can I call or email to request them to look into my case? my case is not touched since I filed..!!

I have never called or e-mailed VSC.

But, you will find some e-mails and phone numbers when you will Google "USCIS VAWA hotline"

Also, if you have received Prima Facia Determination, Dont worry Vermont takes time.

And some people get a lot of touches and some dont (it is confusing).

Thank you, N400-2011. Your words mean a lot and it creates the hope that there is some light at the end of the tunnel!

Currently, I do not have a legal status yet, no job, and nightmares about the abuse makes it a difficult phase to cope. It is still not easy for me to go to sleep. Don't have an insurance that I can go see a specialist for it too :(

Filed VAWA on 24th November 2010 received fees waive notice on 29th November 2010 since than my case hasn't been touched. Its been more than 4 months. Can I call or email requesting them to look at my case? If yes than what's the telephone number or email ID?

I am no longer in US and filed VAWA from foreign, though abused occurred in US.

Thanks

Hi there zainab786, you have to be patient. Every case is different. 4 months is not a long time with VAWA petition. my case has not been touched either, its been over 6 months now, some cases even longer. Did you receive the prima facie yet? if not you might get an RFE. Goodluck.

Well, it took me almost 7months to get approval. The reason is because I had to get some documents from my home country and other related delays. I still think if you provide all the needed papers and documents, i think the process would take about 5-6months without any RFE. I believe RFEs are the reasons for the delay so I would suggest that when you submit your application do make sure you include all the necessary things needed from you.

Just a question. did you have many touches? I'm wondering how important the touches are... thanks, it would really help me out...

Hello everybody.I read a lot and learn a lot here.I just mail my I-360 but i wasn't really inform when i mailed it.Unfortunately,it seems like my attorney doesn't know a lot about WAVA.I didn't file the I-485 and the I765.Can I file them now? also, I have a pending I 485 with my ex.what will they do about that one? should i need to file another one? I also want to know about how many pages should be our personal statement.I read here that most people wrote 15.I DON'T really know.I included all the details of my abuse but it wasn't up to 15 pages and i'm not even sure that my attorney read them.answer me please!

When I went to my interview I asked the IO to leave my I485 open so it could be linked to my vawa, therefore, I didn't need to file another I485, but you should check with your lawyer... good luck!
