I got approved last month for VAWA. I did not hire a lawyer (am broke) to file for VAWA and do not plan to hire one for AOS. Still broke.

I however have a few questions to ask:

1. When filling out the AOS (I am applying for AOS because), is it the (a)-Petition giving me immeadiate available visa number or (h) other basis of eligibility? . I am married to a USC.

2. Medical examination- When I first came to this country, no one asked me about vaccinations. I was exempted big time, even at the school I attended. I don't know why. I have seen a loong list of vaccinations. I have no documentation but know I have done some of those, or have been sick from otehrs before. To help me cut costs, how best to deal with this issue?

Should I take a blood anti-body test or go on to the civil surgeon and have him give me the shots a new? What are the costs?

Lastly, do I have to re-submit all the things I submitted to VAWA, or the application, medical history and photos is good to go?

Your help will be appreciated.

Hello guys I just received the text and email message from USCIS that my I-765 EAD has been approved...whew ! So I can renew my driver license and started looking for job. I received my RFE for my I-360 yesterday and I and my attorney are responding to it..... Thanks guys..Deeplyhurted what about you any news ? Am happy right now about the approval of my I-765 but not totally happy cause I want my I-360 approved so I can get approval on my I-485...I need to move on with my life.

Hi Victorysmine,

There is nothing new. Just waiting and waiting. I have not got EAD yet. Don't know how much more time they will take. But its very encouraging to see so many approvals and that too so soon. I was seeing many approvals within 7-8 months. I hope those waiting will also get speedy approval. All the best.

Hi Kibetitole,

Did you applied EAD along with your VAWA? If yes how much time it took to approve? I hope that we all get approval for VAWA soon as we see many cases being approved recently within 7-8 months. All the best.

Hi lostinNJ,

Did the officer at the interview told you about when you can apply for citizenship? I was reading earlier posts but there was not exact conclusion. Do you have any idea?

Hi there, if you don't mind, I'd like to answer your question. I asked the same from lostinnj not too long ago, it's 2 years and 9 months.

Good luck.

LostinNJ said before "She asked when was the last time I spoke to my spouse, and asked if we were divorced, I told her no, she said why is there a divorce decree in the file, so I told her its from my spouse's prior marriage, then she apologized. She gave me back my passport and said I should receive the green card in 2 to 3 weeks. "

So i guess divorce does not have to be final at the time of interview, correct?
