If u have registered ur email with UScis, yes , they will E-mail u before they send out NO1 or NO2

theoretically, however the online system is not without its flaws.... I received hardcopy NOA2 about two weeks before the e-mail. No chance of an e-mail for NOA1 either....

Same here, we just recieved our NOA2 but the website still says they received the RFE and processing has resumed.

I have never received a e-mail from USCIS and my case is still showing as pending for months even though I got my NOA" months ago and have sent back packet 3 and waiting for my interview.

I personally think that you can not rely on receiving anything by e-mail from them and cant even trust your case status as they dont always update it.

Yeah its definitely not reliable, but I did receive a couple of emails from them for various status, such as Received and pending, sent out RFE, received RFE, but thats pretty much where is stops. But at least its not the other way around  , email says you got something, when you didn't

I agree. It'####### or miss on there. They SAY they will e-mail you if you register. But, in my case, didn't get a thing.

It's best to register and hope. Then, check the site. I always suggest checking like once or twice a week so as not to drive yourself insane every day.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
