The recession hits Texas: 26000 jobs lost in December

The grinding U.S. recession caught up to Texas in December, as state employers slashed 25,700 payroll jobs ... the Texas Workforce Commission said Friday.

"Our state's economy has been fairly resilient during these months of economic uncertainty, but the national economic storm has reached Texas," said Tom Pauken, commission chairman.

Moreover, the job losses turn out to have begun in November, when the state shed 11,300 jobs, according to significantly revised figures released Friday.

HEHEH its the land of the walking dead. wow and wyoming not far from. But hey no state taxes wyoming houses get a good one for around 50,000 with land. and dig a well the water is flowing underground. Hey and some good colleges, grand island even has red lobster and dillards now.!!! Cheyenne strip clubs, dancing girls and cowboys. zlot cheaper than las vegas. and now retirees are going to these places. gas awesome price in wyoming,

Yes but there is nothing at all in Wyoming. There is a reason these states are so little populated.

Grand Island is in Nebraska. The poster was all over the place. I have been to Grand Island many times and when the wind was just right and blew the horrific stench away from the dog and cat food rendering plant it wasn't too bad I guess.

No way one wants to drop stacks of dollars in Wyoming and hope for strippers. There is a reason they made Broke back Mountain there.
