Hello everybody,

I've been lurking around this forum for a while now and finally got around to registering and starting up our very own timeline...

I am from Germany and my fiance is from California, we met in college and have been together for over four years. Sadly, about three of those years have consisted of a long-distance relationship.

We filed our petition back in October, our NOA1 was issued on October 20th, 2008. So far it had been rather quiet, the most specific info we could gather was from the stats on this site (no touches or anything).

My girl was just out here in Germany for four weeks to experience her first overseas Christmas... While she was here, we actually received a RFE (January 16th) and tried to take that as a good sign. The lack of information can be a little discouraging and make it difficult to stay in a good mood.

So right now, we are preparing another little package full of additional materials:

Copies of her passport and birth certificate (long version) to prove she is an US citizen...

Copies of my passports and ATM/CreditCard receipts to prove that we have met in the last two years...

Really hope that this, along with the stuff from our initial package, will be enough.

We have already started planning our wedding for May 16th, we try not to worry about the things that could go wrong and hope for the best...

I would like to thank everybody on here for posting timelines and helping to gather statistical information! And all you lurkers should join up too ;)!
