You're wasting your breath (energy typing) with this one.... Young, never served, and a Sanjaya fan (prolly the one crying uncontrollably).....Whichever the way the wind blows and is, like, keuell, like this one is like, onboard..... lol

(prolly the one crying uncontrollably)

I think some expect us to use harsh language against these guys, like they do here. The only difference is that in person those they defend would skin a Bill33 and Hal alive.

Edit: Since we have an edit timeout  when I say liberals (in previous posts) I refer to those with extreme left wing views. AKA wankers. Let me clarify that before some start with the generalizing garbage.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Bush was an awful President & I feel sorry for those of you that are too biased & pig headed to see this. However booing him like that was inappropriate and disrespectful to a President (a bad President is still a President) & therefore it was the wrong place & wrong time to do it.

The basis of the Iraqi invasion was GW's personal vendetta. The war was sold to Republican leaders and our allies on the basis of oil. The war was sold the the American people on the basis of lies.

Clinton maintained a state a war with no fly zones and periodic air strikes and mobilizations. You're selling us of few lies of own. BTW, most Democrats voted for use of force and Congress voted for regime chnage in 1998. Our "allies" were already bought out with oil contacts and the UN ran a corrupt oil for food program.

The intelligence was hand-picked to fit the desired conclusion. This too is common knowledge.

It's also common knowledge that the U.S. had little HUMINT assets in Sadaam's police state and most UN inspectors had no idea where the WMDs were for 6 years prior to the invasion and that no WMD destruction has ever been solely verified by satellite. Iraq chose to play games unlike Ukraine, South Africa or Libya in WMD disposal.

You do understand that the reason the extremists are in Iraq is because we are there, right? You understand that there were no extremists in Iraq until we destabilized the country. Right?

Agree but you know why? SOBs like Saddam suppressed the people with tactics the U.S. cannot employ without serious international condemnation. The reality we paid the Sunnis to kill off Al Qaeda operatives.

You really need to catch up on your history. The US was barely involved in WW1, and we were late to the party in WW2. That's just for starters. Again, Europe has seen more war than Americans can even think of. If anyone should be lecturing about the evils of war, it's Europe. Take notes.

The U.S. deployed far more troops in WWI and WWII than in our current wars. The number KIA aren't even close. American troops played major part in stopping the German 1918 offensive, defeating Hitler inWWII and pretty much fighting Japan with few allies. Only the old Europeans over 64 years-old remember much the war. Most spent their time under NATO leadership b1tching about the U.S. while we were slugging it out in Asia and the Middle East.

As the guy who started this thread, let me add that I voted for Bush his first term. His shenanigans helped to swing me away from that side of the political spectrum, but a left-wing nut I am not- nor need one be to see what an utter blemish Bush & Co. has been on nearly a decade of our national journey.

Absolutely. Its called tact. Not everyone has it, of course- like having enough intelligence to exemplify Eric Hoffer's quote: "Rudeness is a weak imitation of strength."

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Ah yes - the "extreme left wing views". Clearly you've never heard of ambiguity - and that not everything must be reduced down into Left Vs. Right.

I know many conservatives who were decidedly against the invasion of Iraq, for instance. Even if no issues of morality were involved, there are pragmatic ones (Bush Sr. pulled back from invading Iraq for purely practical reasons). In most cases in recent times war has been proven to be the easiest but not the most sensible option. Short term visceral satisfaction. Instant gratification. Infantile, in other words.

I would have voted for Obama if I could but I don't agree with people ridiculing Bush simply because they don't agree with his views or policies.

Bush is a good man and acted in good faith. Anyone making him out to be some sort of Enron exec who was only in it for his own gain is wrong.

What should we ridicule our politicians for if not their "views or policies"?

1. How do you know this?

2. Why are they wrong?

Bush has the lowest presidential approval rating in recent history. Of course he's going to get booed.

Anyone who takes on the role of president has to accept that they're going to have to deal with criticism - some fair, a lot not.

A desperate attempt to defend a lame ex-president, replete with righteous indignation and historical revisionism.

War is never easy and no one ever said going to Iraq would be a walk in the park. Especially not a war against a group who hides amongst innocent people and is not afraid to kill them to make a point.

Obviously one cannot solve differences by attacking another, it just emboldens them. Then again acting as if this was some sort of personal vendetta is also erroneous. We took out a regime renowned for human violations. The same types of regimes that currently go unchallenged in places like Sudan. Diplomacy and revolutions are the best option but take decades if not generations to get through. Under the circumstances we did not have the time. At the time and based on the information at hand there was an imminent threat to America. If Bush had not acted on it and the United States had been attacked, he would have been eaten alive by the left. Especially considering it was so close to 9/11 when every single person was on edge.

You need to refer to an earlier posts in another thread where I pointed out that you do this. Why don't you show me how he is not a good guy and where he acted in bad faith? While you are at it, you can also show me how they are right?

Two can play your game mate.

Well the problem is that most of the posters with right leaning views here are far right & in their mind everyone else is a liberal. Just look who made the comment... I'm 99% sure that's Kaydee & he is the worst one of them all when it comes to neo-con rhetoric. One thing I want to make abundantly clear is that entitlement's (Kaydee's) views in no way reflect the views of most service members (I should know since I am one as well).
