Hi folks, this is a very informative forum. keep it up guys. I only want to ask if any I 751 application to both VSC or CSC has been approved before the original date of expiration on the actual 2 years conditional card. thanks. or has all approval given after the original 2 years card has expired.

I happened to get mine before the 2 year card expired with the CSC..

but it seems that with most service centers the wait is up to a year and sometimes longer ...

rarely if ever is the I-751 approved prior to the expiration of the original greencard

I looked at the timelines, and there were cases of I-751 being approved in two months or less. Considering that one can submit I-751 90 days before the conditional status expires, it is perfectly possible to get a 10-year GC while the old one is still valid.

yeah that is what happened to me..

my green card expired April 2nd... I sent off the petition February 3rd and March 29th I got my green card in the mail....
