Full-on hybrid vehicle or simply a low emissions vehicle?

Oh yeah. Nissan Hybrid technology is exactly the same as Toyota. The reason, Nissan license it from Toyota.

That means a car that can carry passengers, groceries, won't cost an arm and a leg to maintain, is reasonably efficient in its use of fuel, and last forever (or close )... I don't need power and I couldn't give two sh1ts about my carbon footprint.

On the West Coast, that's not bad. Everything out here is so spread out. We don't like having to rub elbows with other people apparently...and of course we hate the earth.

Well out where I live a 30 mile drive could last forever. It's very dense out here, makes for traffic that flows like molasses.

Those Smart cars don't look too 'smart' to me. If you backed one of those things into a mailbox at 3MPH, they'd probably need the jaws of life to get you out of it.
