Sorry - let me clarify. I'm talking specifically about the Filipinas who hang out in internet cafes with the intent on meeting foreigners that way, much like the Filipinas who would hang out in bars in hopes of meeting foreign men.

I realize this may strike controversy, but I'm throwing this out there to get people's honest opinions.

Yes, obviously not all Filipinas who are using internet cafes or even using a dating service online fit the description. I'm talking about Filipinas who spend hours, days, weeks, months, talking to many different foreigners. For them, it's a full time job.

WOW!!! Unusual topic. However, the obvious difference is intent i.e. looking for an honest relationship vs. looking for some guy to scam. Same as here in the U.S.

as an expat living in dvo city, ive clocked a fair number of hours in internet cafes there, n must conclude yes (a small, percentage do). in fact, ive seen a cpl of girls giggling away while having multiple cams of these Joes. but then again, they might be discussing world politics and the unrest in mindanao, who am i to say.

Hmmmm... I'd say IMHO, looking for someone you can be with --marriage possibility-- is so much different from (bar girls) looking for someone for an easy money.

BUT... if you will ask me if cyber girls (those who go to cubicles and take their clothes off and have cyber sex with the foreign male) is the same as those bar girls, then I'd say yes, pretty much, since they do it for easy money too.
