Hey,

I just read what documents we need for the AOS. I got my NOA2 1 week ago, I'm french so I might have my interview schedules at the end of february. I will fly to the US just after cuz' if the visa process continues to be ok we will get married on March 12th. I know that I have to bring my birth certificate translated from french to english. My question is : I already sent my birth certificate with my 129F in july, I had another copy of it, the translator gave me 2. Can I still use this one in March for the AOS ? Or do I have to get a new one with a closer date ? The old one is dated at the end of june. I'm asking that cuz' a birth certificate translation is 40 euros :(

Thanks a lot

The date of your original document is actually close to your actual birth date. What you have is a "copy" of the original dated June. No need to provide a closer in document unless you were "born" again.....

YMMV
