Visiting the US while I129f and i130 are processing

If it gets approved while the non usc spouse is in the states visiting, can they skip the whole consulate part and just file from the states?

One of my friends flies to see his wife a lot from up here (canada, hes a canadian citizen).

I havent asked them if they know, but im curious myself

Most cases, No.

But from Canada you do not need a tourist visa to enter the U.S if you are a Canadian citizen. Just state the reason for your visit. And for my friend, hes in the Canadian Military so he has leave papers he brings with him which usually makes it easy for him at the POE

Until you're granted another type of visa your tourist visa is valid, and yes you can still visit while your marriage visa is pending. Same criteria applies however...you need to have sufficient proof of your ties to your home country.
