Just curious on everyones choices, or if you have made them yet :)

I just got the letter today from NVC saying the K3 will be forwarded to Amman "within a week".

We are going the k3 route.

Congrats to everyone..keep them coming uscis..especially VSC!!

Lisa

or even due for approval..which will you go with

:)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Initially we had planned to do a k3 (being faster) but now that we have waited this long and given it some more thought I think we will go ahead with IR1.

For us it is a lil more complicated, we were married in India...so K3 has to be done in India and IR1 interview in Canada as I am a candian citizen B)

Now if only they would approve us.

Good Luck...How long do you have to wait for an interview in Aaman??

The CR1 sounds way easier for you guys indeed. :)

Well, NVC sent a letter today saying that "within a week" tey will send the k3 to amman. Amman has been scheduling about 2 months out for k3's so, god willing he will have an interview in march.

I have everything ready to be mailed out to him...folders and folders of proof and pics. my coffee table looked like my desk at work the other night, stacks of paper everywhere. ha ha ha

I spent hours just organizing the interview doc's and they better appreciate it dammit!

Inshallah they don't even look at it, and they give him an immediate approval. Oh, and put the visa in his passport then and there!!! :D

At this point in time, because it seems so far away, my husband would blow it off and say something like, "Why do they have to ask so many questions? They can see everything we have (as in evidence)." Or he'd make a joke out of it with a sexual inuendo. So practicing anything with him is hopeless  I'll have a better chance of making him take it seriously once we get our NOA2.
