Does anyone know if this is true...

I heard that its easy for immigrants to get small business loans and no interest loans. Someone ever said that theya re guaranteed to get a loan just becuase they are an immigrant. Has anyone heard the same thing or know where there is information about this if its true?

~ 05/22/08 - Touch

~ 07/25/08 - Touch (showed about 1pm on the USCIS site)

~ 07/25/08 - NOA2 sent (must have been later in the day - noticed it on 7/26)

~ 09/10/08 - INTERVIEW - VISA APPROVED ! ! ! !

~ 09/12/08 - VISA RECEIVED

~ 10/17/08 - Arrival in the USA (JFK POE)

~ 10/31/08 - MARRIED! ! !

Years ago, with funding just dripping with excess, that might have held more validity. I would think in this economy loans would be looked at more closely.

Hi Amanda....

Getting a small business loan might be a bit hard at the moment. We went to open a bank account for my hubby so he can get some credit going in this country aside from mine because they wont even give him the phone he wants without a $500 deposit. The bank told us it takes about a year to get your score high enough while people will take the chance on giving you any type of credit. This was at Bank of America.. So if you find a place that fantastic and let me know ok :lol:

I have heard this same thing...there are a few stores here owned by an indian gentleman and he said Oh come Ill tell you how...but then he is never there when we come...the story we were told is that they will let you borrow 100,000.00 and give you 10 yrs to repay.....true??? Who knows. If anyone else finds out we're all ears here in Ga~!

True that. My husband had a heck of a time getting a credit card, let alone a loan.

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

I watched a show on mico loans / micro lenders last night. It usually used in 3rd world countries to extend capital to those who have no collateral , but there are lenders here in the usa and the money comes from the small business admin.

Research it different states/counties/cities have different resources
