PLEASE HELP TOURIST VISA and K1

Hello everyone

I just applied for a tourist visa to go visit my fiance but I got it denied. Now we are gonna apply for fiance visa on March but I'm scared they will deny it to us because when I applied for the tourist visa in the form they gave me I said I had no girlfriend in the USA, because they deny it to you if they know you have someone there (family, girlfriend) so I just said I was gonna visit a friend. so I wanted to know if that answer on my form will eventually affect my fiance visa application.

No it was not... the reason was (I guess) because I didnt have enough money to support my trip, anyway they didnt even ask me if I had a girlfriend there or family, but in the form I said I dint have a girlfriend there. that's why I worry

Getting denied a tourist visa I do not think will affect your K-1 visa application (again VJ-ers correct me if I'm wrong) however, I am not sure if you'll be questioned about the tourist visa. They may ask you why you didn't have a girlfriend when you applied for a tourist visa but suddenly you have a fiance.

No problem. I've got denied to the tourist visa and after five months I applied for K1 visa and it was approved.

2008 K1Timeline:

I-129F Application

10/25 Received letter from USEM

11/21-11/22 Med Exam

12/02 Interview date, 7AM (Approved)

12/10 Visa on Hand

Date & Place of POE: 12/17 Detroit

03/10/09 Wedding

2009 AOS / EAD / AP Timeline:

4/07 Mailed AOS Package

4/08 Package received

4/14 Cashed Check/

4/18 Biometrics I-485

4/29 Biometrics done

5/02 CSC Transferred

5/05 I-485 Touched (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)(30 days)

5/12 I-485 Touched

5/15 EAD Card Production Ordered and AP Approval notice sent

5/18 EAD/AP Touched

5/20 Touched

5/21 AP Received by Mail (44days)

5/22 EAD Received by Mail (45days)
