Hi everyone,

So I'm filling out my Affidavit of Support for my husband, and I have a question.

A. I made enough money in 2008, I'm way above poverty level for 2 people. Have not received the w-2 form yet, have not done taxes obviously. I can provide the pay stubs though for the entire year.

C. I made lots of money in 2007. Have the tax returns, was above poverty level for two. Have all the documentation.

D. I made lots of money in 2006. Have the tax returns, was above poverty level for for two. Have all the documentation.

E. I was above poverty level for one person in 2005. I was a student. Have all the documentation.

So, if I send the 3 years tax returns for 2005-2007, I did not make sufficient money in 2005. Should I wait to do my taxes for 2008 and send the documents? Or do you think I should send all the tax returns for 2005-2007 and the pay stubs for 2008 now.

What do you suggest? Please help.

Thanks,

Sunshine

It is always OK to send information and add a supplement sheet to explain anything you wish to clarify... yes you can send stubs to prove current earnings capacity...

FWIW, I sent only one year ITR and current stubs....

YMMV

what's important is your current income. i didnt make much in 2005 either and yet everything turned out okay. i sent my 2005, 2006 and 2007 1040A with corresponding W2s plus 6 months pay stubs and employment certificate indicating my annual income.

hello,

my husband just sent me a copy of his individual income tax return 2007. He didnt send me a copy of his filled up I-864, so I dont have idea whats in there. we were married since 2004 and until now his taxable marital status is single. my question is - is he going to count himself as part of the household size? besides me and our son? he only made 19K in 2007 (this is from June 2007 when he stated to work after graduating from college) and based on poverty guidelines household of 3 should have at least 22K. I need help on this, my interview will be on Feb 23 (USEM Manila). Thanks a lot!
