I-130 to K-visa

I applied for my husband as a permanent resident in august 2006.. I became a US citizen in September 2008 and upgraded my status for the I-130 and also filed for K-3 visa for my husband in October 2008 at Vermont Service Center.. any idea how long the process takes and exactly when should I contact them to ask for updates?

Has anyone ever received an expediated service if they changed status from permanent resident to us citizen? If yes, how can I request that?

Any suggestions and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

No expedited service. You get put in the line with the rest of the US Citizens.

Nope..........Some people got their approval with in a month but mine is still stuck like yours.

I upgraded mine in Oct 2008.when I called them up the lady said she will put in for expedite processing as the case is out of normal processing time.But trust me even that doesn't help but you can try it.Every time I call, I get disappointed.I have scheduled an infopass appointment for next week.I will update you if that helps.Please keep me posted with ur case as our cases are similar .thanx

ATK.. thanks, it seems like a same case.. where did you make an info pass appointment?NY? Unfortunately Boston office isn't taking any info pass appointments and CSR on phone is pretty much no help even after 30 mins of hold that it takes to get to them.. its so frustrating!!!

Yeah its @ NYC.Originally I made it for 9th but on 6th my case was touched so I was like it might get approved in a couple of days but I guess thats not happening.Now its for 15th jan.I have not applied for K visa yet.But I might do that and see if that helps.I know CSR doesn't have much info every time I call now they put a new service request to upgrade and the case has been upgraded already.so I am just keeping my fingers crossed and I hope that I get a nice and helpful officer when i go for my appointment.
