With the I-485 Checklist, did you include the Orginals for the Police Clearances or just a copy of them?

However, on the Checklist as per the link below, it did not have any mention of Police Clearances.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=k1k3aos

Could you please confirm whether you did submit this documentation at all? Were they copies or originals?

Thanks!

You don't send Police checks with the AOS application.

You will get a notice to go and get your Biometrics done which includes fingerprinting for a criminal check.

Ok thanks guys for shedding some lights to my concerns as on the instructions for filing Form 1-485, it mentions Police Clearances. So I wasn't sure.

It mentions a police clearance for these cases that are described in an I-485 supplement form. You file the I-485 without supplement forms. So no police clearance is required.

I had to get the FBI clearance for my K1 visa (I lived in the US for 7 years) so does that have any value for AOS process? I was fingerprinted in Croatia and waited for about 12 weeks to receive the report back from the FBI and it would be awesome if they can just use that instead of doing the same thing over? Does anyone know if this is a possiblity?

thanks!
