Someone is trying to rationalize arguments against unilateral support for Israel within within their biased world view.

The US is in a unique position to develop a solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict, but only if it positions itself as neutral to both sides equally condemning both actions of Hamas and the Israeli military. Otherwise any solution put forth by the US, will never be accepted by Palestinians.

I wonder why it is that conservatives blindly support and applaud Israel? I'm a Libertarian and am hopelesly stuck in the middle here. I don't believe in foreign aid as a tool of hegemony. I have no feelings of ill will towards Israel, I just believe that money spent outside the United States while we still have so many people living in poverty is ill spent.

This thing has been going on so long that we don't know who really started what. Israel likely provoked them in some way, whether its building walls or restricting aid. Then hides behind blaming Hamas for everything and most of the western world won't question it.
