Vermont Moving

I think what with all the Transfers in Dec we have seen to California, we shall see the I 130's return to a more reasonable approval time. Perhaps it was the election and all the new citizens they were pushing through was the cause of the the backlog growing. Now that's over things should start to move along nicely.

I should imagine also that Senators and Congressmen get a little tired of having to spend their valuable time dealing with calls from frustrated citizens regarding as to why they have to wait so long for their spouse to join them.

I personally feel that the whole process is a way of controlling US Immigration. Given the numbers each year that are coming to live in the US be it legal or illegal, there has to be some form of brakes put on immigration. It just happens that it is easier to put the brakes on those who choose to do things legally.

On a positive note we do have the knowledge that once we have been granted the privilege of immigrating to the US we do not have to be looking over our shoulder to be arrested for being here illegally.

Best wishes to all

Arthur and Roberta

From the few approvals I have seen lately, is it safe to say they might be moving into June NOA1's? Its so annoying just sitting here waiting for someone to pick up my file.

Hopefully by the end of the week we will be seeing alot of approvals coming through. The should have a full staff since the holidays are now over.

When is the next government holiday?

Ironic enough - I wanted to be xfer to CSC when they were issuing approvals left and right. Now I'm going on seven months and got transferred on Dec 17th, but it looks like my file is stuck again. :bonk:

I wanted to be transferred too but my lawyer and congresswoman advised me against it. Apparently they have some kind of system and if I request a transfer I might throw a monkey wrench into the fire. And I have the kind of luck that my file would be lost and prolong this agony for 6 more months. :dead:
