What is the next step after your waiver has been approved?

Hello fellow VJers,

Our waiver was finally approved (after 15 long months) and I was wondering if anyone had experience with an approved waiver from Turkey and the next step.

I did e-mail the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, but also wanted some insight from someone who has gone through this.

Thanks in advance,

Wendy

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada
Timeline

You're going to need updated police certificates and an updated medical exam. The next correspondence you get from Turkey will probably be a request for these and the passport.

Some consulates (I didn't go through Turkey) request an updated DS-230, but I'm not sure about Turkey. . .

The consulate should send you notification of the waiver approval and a list of what you need to bring for the visa appointment. In Brazil, they asked for proof of an ongoing relationship while the waiver was pending along with the updated police certificates, medical exam, passport photos, affidavit of support, etc.
