Hi All! First, this is a great resource! Check it almost daily for new posts, finally decided to open an account here as well. Thank you for such valuable info.

Q1:

My NOA 1 for K1 is dated end of September 08. I know it is still within the USCIS timeframes, but I noticed that a few people received their decisions already [their NOAs are issued early in the month, however]. Does this mean that USCIS is now looking at September petitions? Or are those folks just lucky ;=)

Q2:

With my I129F, my attorney included just enough evidence to show that my fiancee and I met in the past two years: pictures, boarding passes, visa stamps. Also, we supplied letters of intend for both of us, as well as a letter from her parents about the nature of our relationship.

I have the following items collected as proof of bona fide relationship. Please comment if this is solid evidence for the consulate, don't want anything going bad at this point. I am sure all of you folks understand - emotionally way too involved, we didn't get this far to have something go wrong ;-)

  • Emails - two years of e-letters
  • Electronic greeting cards for holidays, birthdays, just random cards
  • Text messaging records
  • Phone Records: phone bills itemizing the telephone numbers I call, and LOTS and LOTS of phone cards.
  • Engagement ring receipt [she has the ring, obviously]
  • Dated Pictures [over 100] of my most recent trip [includes engagement photos], plus pictures from two years ago when we first met
  • Dated Video of our Engagement Party
  • Letter from my friend, showing that my relationship wasn't kept secret or anything
  • She kept address labels showing dates/post office info from packages I sent her [gifts]
  • I also plan to be there for her interview, to support her as she is very emotional about this process.

I am a bit concerned with the phone card situation. When I use those to call my fiancee, her number doesn't show up on the bill. It is the number of the phone card that shows up on my statement. Is this a problem? I hope the USCIS appreciates that phone cards do happen. It is just so much cheaper vs. long distance.

Thanks for your feedback.

the NOA 1 needs about 4-6 months for it to be issued, so you are almost there... regarding the phone cards not showing phone number, i wouldn't worry to much about it because you have other evidence to help support your relationship. Good Luck on your Journey and :time: This will give you an estimated date for your NOA 2.

Not sure which phone card your using, but I had the same problem....now I use VOX and you can actually go on their website, set up an account, type in your card number, in my case I had over 50 of them, entered each number and then printed off the list of calls made on each card. Check your card out...you might be able to do the same. GOOD LUCK!

I am using phone cards managed by LDPost. They do not offer this type of look up service, only for an unreasonable fee, which I think is very lame. They do have all of my call records, but claim it to be an expensive maintenance task. Basically, just a way to make more money. I also have their phone card service [which is twice as expensive], and I don't make calls with it too often, but it does keep phone records. I have those. However, most of my "phone records" proof is associated with phone cards that do not.

Thanks for your replies, they are appreciated. I just hope the NOA 2 will come in soon, since this is just annoying at this point. ;-)

Your evidences looks good.

I would also look at the US Embassy website for Armenia. It may have documents she can download and could tell her about documents she will need for interview (medical, Police Certificate..) and other useful information.

Good Luck
