Good Morning .... Hope you all had a lovely Easter!!

I've just been catching up on the posts .... I sent the packet 3 back to London on the 24th of March. When I called DOS, they said it arrived on the 26th - which was my birthday!!

The people I speak to at the DOS are lovely, but it's always the same story. I haven't "qualified" yet and no interview date on my file. I always feel a bit down after hearing that. I have tried not to phone EVERY day ... but there is a very strong force that PULLS me towards my mobile phone as soon as I know that the DOS are open ....

Oh well, I guess one of these days they will say ... "Oh yes!!" "Your appointment is showing ......"

Have a great day everyone ....

:D Don't worry. You'll get your interview date soon! Try calling back at the end of the week (and don't feel down, they will get to you).

Also :D happy belated birthday! My 22nd was actually yesterday which solidly places me over the threshold of adulthood (as deemed by the US). I hope you had an awesome day :star:.

Thank you Magpie ... and happy birthday to you too .... I am more than double your age, but you're making more sense than I am at the moment lol ....

I will call today ... and then leave it until Friday. I mean, it's not as if I WON'T get an interview date .... it's just the waiting that gets to me ....

Take care!

I kinda had an eventful easter. Had the usual easter dinner with ma inlaws, left there to go to work. Was home in bed sick with an asthma attack an hour later. Thank gawd the Asst Mgrs @ Wal-Mart understand i have health issues or i woulda been given my marching orders ages ago. If you manage to clock up 7 points for days off work (1 point each time you call in sick) you get fired :crying: I had 8 up until 4 weeks ago, but thankfully 6 of those fell off and i'm now down to 2 points. The points system takes 6 months to drop off. Just as well i have intermittent leave of absence that covers my breathing problems. "whewwww"

I'm thinking that the air at work is very dry.

the security webpage for the london embassy says no large bags.

i think in the end, i will win this argument and he will go bagless, but im just curious how others have transported their documents to the embassy.

I was planning on bringing a messenger bag with my folder in it. I don't think I'd classify a messenger bag as a "large bag". It's barely bigger than the folder.

Can anyone who has had their interview comment?

In one of those accordian type folders with sections that has a flap and a stretchy thingie to to hold it closed. Appointment letter in front section, birth certificate and police certificate in second section, financials in another section...something like that.
