Put it this way: I laugh at the pair of them. But then I'm not American, I suppose.

Of course... because you're better than that right?

Er, no, that's not at all what I meant. What I meant was, that as a non-American, my knowledge/understanding of these characters (and more to the point, their influence on U.S. life/politics) is not what that of an American would be.

If I may throw my foreign two-penneth into the mix here: does any sane USC take either the likes of Sharpton or Limbaugh remotely seriously? Honestly?

On the one hand, we have the old school right winger, panicking as he sees the "establishment" at least beginning to disintegrate before his eyes, and on the other hand, we have Sharpton, a man with not so much a chip but a lumber yard on his shoulder, oozing bitterness and resentment through every pore. Whilst the rest of us (to whom I will refer as the "normal" people) are just saying "meh........whatever............really don't care who's in charge....or what colour you are.......you're all as bent as each other and just looking after number one."

Or am I being a tad simplistic?

No, that pretty much nails it.

You browse VJ much?

On here, there are as many interpretations of US life and politics as there are Americans.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
