After NOA2 for an I-129F (K-1) the petition goes to National Visa Center, a part of Department of State which assigns a Case number and sends it on the appropriate consulate for Visa interview.

National Benefit's Center handles adjustment of status, work permits, advance parole, and is part of USCIS.

Moving this to the NVC forum.

You are K-1 NOT CR-1 per where you posted this.

Yep, seems that you know a bit more than your lawyer, it is easy to confuse them.

Thank you for clarifying this for me. I just wrote an email to my lawyer letting her know that she might be making a mistake. This is horrible, you hire an expert and they do not know that they are doing.
