Getting Ready for round 2 Vietnam

After denial of our K1 visa we have checked with different lawyers and are now getting ready for our second round. I don't think there are many people on here that are on there second round but I'm looking for advice from people that have had failure and success. Specifically what gives us the best chance in Ho Chi Minh might not be the best chance some place else. I have read 1 success story in Ho Chi Minh so far on the second try but yet 2 others that are still waiting after there interview. If somebody is afraid to post something if they could send me an email message I will keep it to myself. If you have any good lawyer recommendations also. I have seen people recommend Mr Nam and Marcus Ellis mainly people that have not used his services. Just wondering if there is anybody else that’s good also. I have spoken with Kathy Reck from Ho Chi Minh not sure if anybody has used her yet or not?

This is a good place for resources and to share info. The bad thing is if somebody got there visa already they might not come on here anymore to share there info.

If she fails the second time does anybody know if there are any other options after that? I mean if we fail the K1 twice can there be a chance to pass the K3 or CR1 or are we limited.

The people that are planning on moving to Vietnam and getting married after they run out of attempts maybe we could pool some money and start a business because this second try doesn't look to hopefull.

A spousal visa will fail for the same reasons as a K-1 if you do not work to overcome... it sounds like you are trying to do so.... no guarantees, but it is the best thing you can do

YMMV

so overcome the problems that they denied it for witch I already will then I should be ok to file a K1 or K3. From what I have found out that they are having some problems over there at the consulate but most lawyers here are saying K3 while over there they are saying K1 again. I feel my chances are good either way I know they each offer advantages and disadvantages. I don't want to do something that will upset the consulet because they have the final say if she gets to come here or not.

They apparently have no problems refusing K-3's for the same "lack of bonafide" relationship reasons.... I am aware of at least one member here who experienced this situation....

A consult with Marc Ellis (via telephone or e-mail if necessary) would be helpful to you. People who recommend him may not have used him personally, but he is well-known as one of the foremost experts on this consulate. He is also a member of VJ under the username EllisIsland (although he posts infrequently). What I'm trying to say is, his reputation proceeds him, and that's a good thing.

It would also be wise for you to attend this second interview.

from my understanding they dont' refuse K3s as often as they do K1s because it is treated more serious. If my second K1 is denied will I be able to go for a K3?

I mean if this is our last chance then I should make it as sure as possible and that would be for me to move there for a few years as husband and wife then we can apply for the K3. But If this attempt fails and we still have another chance then I will save the move to there if this one fails. I have been googling jobs in vietnam but there doesnt seem to be anything I could do over there since I don't speak vietnamise and I don't have a 4 year teaching degree.
