aloha to all VJ members,

greetings and hope everybody's wishes will come true right before this christmas.

anyway, i got a noa once again for our greencard interview but i don't know how necessary to bring a japanese interpreter. her english skills got improve her listening and speech much better than when first she got here in the US, however, she might have a problem understanding all the legal terms if there is. even myself in the other hand having a lot of difficulties tried to understand all those "legal terms." anyway, what do you guys think should i hire an interpreter for her interview? or she will be alright without them?

thank you,

flavorgreentea

If I am you, I will avoid hiring an interpreter and save the money. She doesn't have to be fluent in english to answer questions thrown by the interviewer, if she have hard time understanding some of the questions maybe you can help her understand what the question would be. The most important thing is that you have enough evidences of your relationship..

Just my thought....

In the AOS interview, there are no tricky legal questions asked. The interviewer just needs to be certain that you are in a real marriage and have provided enough proof of it. It is also important that you and your bride seem to be in love with each other, in how you behave toward one another. No interpreter can help with that.
