I also found the flight I am taking on Monday on sidestep, but I booked like back in July. For fun, I just looked up what it would cost to take the same flight same class. Answer? $2,396 per person. I booked at $675 a person. But it is still cheaper to fly on Christmas Eve or Day if you were to book today, $688.

why don't u try around January 15,2009 and just check the airlines website that u want to fly on. Right now its very expensive this time of year hope this helps

Thanks! I plan on trying to travel to nigeria in march...I was worried about waiting to long to get my ticket...so even though Im searching for march tickets the price is still going to be high because of the holiday season?

I will travel to Nigeria by febuary tickets are usually low then, feb, march, april, then it starts to blow up again cos of summer, now is the best time to buy your tickets to nigeria.

Sidestep.com is where I go to compare rates but I always fly on Continental because they have a direct flight to San Jose Costa Rica right out of Newark. Best time to fly is monday, tuesday or wednesday. Be flexible with your dates.

I have a Continental Mastercard, so when I fly, I get my first bag checked for Free.

I flew 7 times this year to see my husband. Usually I pay around $325.00 RT direct.

The most I paid was for Easter week. About $600.00

I found a cheap departure from Philly International with a layover in Houston when I flew on Nov. 25th but I came back direct to Newark. the ticket was $300.00

I look everyday for cheap flights. Tuesday morning is when the new rates come out. My friend was a travel agent, she told me the rates change by the minute, so if you see a good price you should jump on it. It might be gone in the blink of an eye.

I used Orbitz for my upcoming trip to Vietnam. I got a R/T ticket for $1080.00. The next best price I was finding was around $1500.00. I just kept plugging in different day/date combos until I found the winner. I actually leave on a Saturday. The catch was that I have to sit in Korea for 14 hours making my total trip time 44 hours.

Does anyone have a site they use in particular for the cheapest airline tickets? Or does anyone have any ideas on the best time to buy your tickets? Days of the week? Best times of the day? I used cheapoair.com last time. Thanks

I have went to lagos 2 times cost around 1500-1700 rt Delta airlines if you go straight about 11 hours go thru paris about 22-24 hours.. Yes theres fraud in nigeria but in usa as well .. Trust and knowing who you taling to is important do not get hung up in sending money to anyone there.. If this starts happening becareful.. I loved nigeria it makes you understand How Lucky we are.. And the people there love americans we just do not give them a chqnce.. Life if is very hard there .. No jobs no running water like us food is diffrent .. Any other Questions just ask me.. My husband is here now.. Don't let other put you un easy if you love your man,, Go with your feel..
