Shah - There are two options. K3 which requires no paperwork to be done at NVC and hence is a bit faster than CR1. However, in longer run, you will have to file with USCIS again if you go through K3 to adjust your spouse's status. I recommend that you read 'LingChe' guide on NVC and see if you can pull that off to get a CR1 (green card). This way you will avoid further headaches with USCIS.

Please note that CR1 will take at least 2+ months for the interview, while K3 'might' be faster.

I noticed on your timeline your expidite was approved so you're already on a fast track and your I129F was approved (k3) I would call NVC once they recieve your information and see when the I129F was sent to the consulate. there are upsides to each visa we went with CR1 cause it's just less expensive in the end and it only put us out 1 month between his k3 interview to the cr1 exactly a month. Each is a personal decision you and your SO will have to discuss good luck!
