Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions........

1- After i get married and change my name, how do i change my name on my passport seeing as ill be in america and not my own country. If i travel ill have my maiden name in my passport and all my documentation iin my married name. Is this an urgent thing to change?how did anyone else handle this?

2-I have to have my last HPV vaccination in Jan and everyone on here is saying that the doctors will try and make you pay for a full medical but you dont need this, you just tell them no and get them to fill out a form and give you the last shot. What is this form and is there anything else they have to fill out?and my fiance thinks that they will still make me have a full medical as i will be a new patient and its usa policy that they have to 'check me out' before doing anything else...is this true??i find it absurd that i had to already pay $200 odd on a medical for my k1 visa and once in the states ill have to have one all over again and pay for it...anyone advise on this?

3-We do actually plan on moving back to england in the nxt 2 years or so but how would this affect my permant residency??i think that it takes 2 years to get the conditional permanent removed to just become permanent and we want to wait antill this has been done, but we also want to be free to come back and forth to america and move back here eventually so dont want have to go through any visa process again, so how ould moving back after gaining my permenet residency affect this?

THANKYOU in advance...i really appreciate it! :star::thumbs:

1) One reason your country of citizenship has an embassy and consulate. I believe for the UK the Embassy in Washington DC is the only place for passport issuance

I'm currently going through my 'second' medical examination. I've been very blunt with the medical office personel who have been pushing me to have another medical examination completed. On the USCIS's I-693 instructions pdf, it clearly states K-1 visa holders who have a valid immigrant medical examination from another country (your exam ahs a one year validity), only need to have a Civil Surgeon complete the vaccination section of the I-693 form (section 2) and section 5.

As of this summer, the USCIS has implemented the all immigrants have a TB SKIN test. K-1 visa holders, depending on country, have received a chest x-ray testing for TB. The skin test section of the I-693 section must be completed regardless of the chest x-ray (although there have been cases in which ppl have submitted their AOS package, minus the TB skin test and have been approved).

You do not need a new full medical examination if your previous examination is valid. If the doctor refuses, search for another Civil Surgeon.

If you leave before becoming a citizen, you loose your residency. As a permanent resident you are expected to live in the US. So a move in 2 years will be cause for you to have to begin the whole process all over again shall you decide to return to the US.

You'll be eligible for citizenship after 3 yrs of CONTINUED residence in the US...after which (once citizenship is granted) you'll be free to go back and forth with ease...
