Can we have a honeymoon in Hawaii?

I entered the US on my K1 visa about a month ago, and we are getting married in a week. I will be adjusting my statud straight after the wedding, and we would like our honwymoon a week after. I know Hawaii is a US state, so feel silly asking, but just want to check... I have read here that other people have been concerned, and have not found any information other than that it is not recommended that you go there on a cruise. We will be flying there though... will they let me back in ok? I imagine they would have immigration, as it is over water and a far distance... this is why I am concerned.

Thanks

I think people are concerned about going to the islands are leaving port on the mainland and not flying. If you're flying directly to HI from the lower 48, then you're perfectly fine. While HI does have immigration, you will not be entering from another country first. You will not have to go through any sort of immigration.

Unless I am misunderstanding what you wrote.

Enjoy your wedding and honeymoon! :star:

Lots of Aloha,

Cat

Will they let you back in? You will have never left.... As long as the plane does not land in a foreign county it is as if you never left the USA.... A flight from Detroit to Maine or from Minneapolis to Anchorage will take you over parts of Canada... No immigration upon arrival there either...
