Interesting article but I've heard this before from the documentary, King Corn. It's about two guys who grow an acre of corn and then follow where it might go once it's harvested. Kind of horrifying, especially the part about the cows. I didn't realize that eating an exclusively grain based diet could kill them so quickly. They consume a lot of antibiotics to keep them alive until they reach market weight.

And nails, too.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Make your own sarnies and take them with you.

I've got a bag of raw pistachio nuts that I snack on while at work. Sunflower seeds are good too. But if I'm on the go and hankerin for some food, it's not easy to navigate through the fast food chains for a semi-healthy meal.

That's what I sometimes do for lunch when I was too lazy not to bring anything from home, but it's not always the most convenient way. I think fast food chains could do more to offer healthier foods, even if their prices go up a little. We have places like Baja Fresh, Rubio's, Panda Express that are somewhat healthier than your typical burger joint.

i agree that fast food places should do that.
