So far I've heard of two changes..

One in Virginia, another in North Carolina. Both going from Republican to Democrat.

Any others?

* Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., vs. Al Franken and former Sen. Dean Barkley, I-Minn.

* Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-N.C., vs. Kay Hagan

* Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, vs. Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich

* Sen. Gordon Smith, R-Ore., vs. state house Speaker Jeff Merkley

* Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., vs. former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen

Democrats Kay Hagan and Jeanne Shaheen pulled off the biggest upsets of Tuesday night so far by defeating Republican incumbents in North Carolina and New Hampshire, respectively.

Short of a filibuster proof Senate, but definitely a clear majority.

Wow, the Norm Coleman and Al Franken race is veeeery close. 1,000 vote margin with 95% of precincts.

The race in Oregon is only down to hundreds of votes as well.

In Alaska - Stevens is ahead by less than 2% (about 2500 votes), with about half of the votes counted.

Our lone house member is ahead by 5% over his primary (democratic) opponent, with at least half of the votes counted.

there was hope for mississippi but apparently that has gone now.

"At 91 percent reporting, Wicker received 56 percent of the vote to Musgrove's 44 percent, with a 119,079 vote margin."

i saw more signs for wicker than mccain and obama put together.

With more than 80 percent of the precincts reporting, Stevens held a 2-percentage point advantage over the Democratic Begich. About 4,000 votes separated the candidates. The razor-thin margin means the Senate race might not be decided for two weeks.

Still to be counted are roughly 40,000 absentee ballots, with more expected to arrive in the mail, as well as 9,000 uncounted early votes and thousands of questioned ballots. The state Elections Division has up to 15 days after the election to tally all the remaining ballots before finalizing the count.

If the lead holds, Stevens will shock the nation and be the first person ever re-elected to the U.S. Senate after being found guilty on criminal charges. Polls had shown the Republican down by at least 8 percentage points on the day before the election.
