Yep - them too

Of course, by default, you are the smart guy.

The same guy who is yet to post his name, what you do, your background, your age, your education, your experience etc. The same guy who refuses to answer and sidetracks personal questions by others who you just so happen to disagree with.

As different as some of SVRT's ideas are to my own, at least this guy has had the (what did you call it again) "guts" to walk the talk. You on the other hand are a phony who hides his life with anonymity. One must ponder whether you are hiding your life on purpose or whether you actually have a life.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You do realise that there are conservative democrats...?

Kind proves Hal's point - doesn't it ;)

 You just can't see beyond the limits of your own preconceptions, can you.

Hell - you (a self-declared right-wing conservative) even declared support of Obama (a Democrat). How do you explain that? By your reasoning shouldn't you be part of the homosexual, liberal media elite - perhaps you should be out on a SF street corner in your leather hood and harness whirling a bullwhip over your head...

Going beyond limits is a little hard considering I only have Hal's posts to go by. I don't even know his name. So when I see "Hal" state he is not a registered democrat, I find that funny because this is the first time I have seen it posted.

So what.

are you going to tell us why australia is so wonderful (better than america apparently  ) like you promised yesterday?

Rocks I have covered this ground before. For a start you need to look at the million or so Brits now living in Australia. The same Brits who I couldn't pay to go back to the UK..

Yep - the same!

I guess could boast, exaggerate or lie about it like yourself and the people you chose to name, or perhaps I could choose to not create irrelevant distractions by fixating on irrelevant things.

You seem to think that my posting private personal information on this website is some sort of litmus test of my "worthiness" to have an opinion.

Interesting. Totally deluded of course - but interesting all the same.

Now that Obama has won and the dems will probably have the majority of the senate / house, what do you think the excuses will be over the next few years?? That is, if all of these promises fall flat and the country's economic outlook and financial position does not improve over the next few years..

I am sure GWB will be to blame, even four years later. That will be a given..

Any other excuses come to mind??

Republicans took all the blame for this financial mess even though they never, not even once, had a senate majority during the last eight years. Therefore they did not have the opportunity to do or put in place everything they wanted, without opposition.

They filibustered 92 times, however. GWB IS to blame, so that's a given.

I just don't want to discuss topics with people who poke sticks at others while hiding behind bushes themselves. People like yourself who don't actually have any intention of discussing a topic but rather prefer aggravating the other person.

I do not have an issue with people who disagree with me. I actually enjoy it but when I come across a disingenuous fool like yourself, yeah it gets annoying. Go waste somebody else's time..

Like someone saying I hate 2008 A8 Audi's, I prefer a 1978 Datsun. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that is just stupid.

Well as your bum-chum VW would say - these forums aren't the place for debate.

While that is often true in the case of a half-dozen or so people (including yourself and her, and certainly that beligerent old drunk - Rogue). You guys aren't really representative of "people with right-wing views", regardless of how much you lay claim to it.

Again - plenty of Australians live and work in London Boo. I guess I just choose not to draw the same conclusions from that that you do about Brits in Australia.

Evil racists, permapmsing PUMAs, neocon armchair warriors and i-dont-care-about-anyone-but-myself selfish fvcktards.

So you lost then..

I thought you were suspended. They must have reactivated your account once they realized stupidity was not against the TOS.

there's no need for that...

I just hope this country does not become a UK.

i hope it doesn't become australia?

hmmmmm....australia is all of the people who weren't good enough to be in the uk...hmmmm...

I will let people enjoy the moment and save the discussion for another day..

so you didn't "poke a stick" at me and my nationality because i told you that your comment was unreasonable? oh, my bad.

Of course we are not representative. The OT section of VJ represents a certain demographic of posters, as does VJ. Is Obama, for example, anything like Platy or AJ . Hell no.

It is very hard to discuss or debate a topic when people cannot separate the person from the topic or post. Even if I was debating with Platy I would try to focus on what he is saying rather than the fact that I think he is a wanker. Well bad example because he doesn't bother discussing anything worth while and simply throws out bull #######.

If you brought up something about Australia I would try to discuss it rather than take the stance of how dare you attack Australia. Logical discussions can only work when people separate their emotions and view of the person from the argument. Debating 101.

I have started watching more and more of PBS because I have to say I enjoy seeing people, even those with differing views discuss issues in a logical and calm manner. Rather than a HOW DARE YOU SIR!!! approach. Which happens a lot in OT with various topics such as illegal immigration and Mexicans.
