Don't you hate it when they turn the water off?

We got a very late start today... DH just got out the shower and I went to get in and THERE'S NO WATER! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... so now I have to sit here with dirty hair and a dirty house waiting for them to get around to turning it on again before I can do anything. (we live in a condo complex and lots of the apartments are still unrenovated or in the process of being done up, and for most of this year it's been a regular thing for the water to go off for a few hours at random times while somebody does work.) It's still frustrating!!!!!!!!!

(what's more frustrating is that I was sitting here waiting for John to finish in the bathroom so I could have a go, and he took forever! They must have turned the water off the moment he finished!)

Our HOA always informs us via snail mail two weeks prior to anything like that. They follow up with a recorded phone call the day before. Yours doesn't? I'd complain.

What exactly are they renovating? How old are your units?

No, they don't give any notice... the old management used to go around giving 12 hours notice before any work was done, but now there isn't really anyone in chage and the only 'notice' we got was a sign stuck up on the wall saying that they might turn the water off any day between 10 and 2 without notice so they could work on apartments...

The place went condo and it was rather rundown, so each apartment has been getting a COMPLETE renovation as it's been sold. It's been going on all year long and I'm getting very tired of it because it's the biggest freaking nuisance in the world.

PS. It's been half an hour so I went and tried the tap and it's back on again... now, do I rush into the shower and try to get clean in record time in case they switch it off again? (it's been known to happen...) or do I just wait - I'm dressed, just not bathed!

Store water in buckets. Use them as backup if water goes out at an inconvenient time.

water in algeria happens every other day lol

What would you say about Albania, in most parts of which there's water only 2-3 times a day, for about 1-3 hours each... Now that's what I call "rush hour"!
