I work at a bank and we just got robbed at gunpoint. Everyone is ok.. I am just a little shaken up...

Daughter-in-law is a pharmacist and had a gun pointed to her head by some masked person to get some uppers, she was pretty shaken up as well. But she handed the guy all she had even though he didn't have a prescription. She was also six months pregnant with MY GRANDDAUGHTER.

She was concerned about lack of security, since then they added surveillance cameras, moved the safe out of sight of the counter, and added a button to inform the police. They also gave her a week off with pay to recompose herself.

Guy was caught about a month ago trying to peddle the stuff, nor very bright.

Thank you all for the well wishes, I am a little more in the right state of mind right now. I sit in one of the corner offices that faces the street. I saw this guy get off the bus and headed towards the bank. I noticed him because he was bundled up with his hoodie on with a bandana around his face. It was not that cold outside so I watched him some more. He came closer to my window and I realized that he was coming to the bank. I yelled out into the lobby that a man was coming in with a mask on. He came in with his gun pointed at us and threw a bag at the teller. He told her to give him all the money and don't f### with him. He left as fast as he came. I watched him as he ran across the street and then he looked back and saw I was still watching him so he changed direction. The police have not caught him yet.

The scariest thing was thinking that if something happened to me, my husband would not be able to come here and see me, or say goodbye.

Sooo glad you are ok.. there are too many crazies out there.. Too many that have no care for anyone other than themselves and would not hesitate to shoot just for the thrill...

Hugs... .. I too have been on the side with the gun to the head.. not something easily forgotten.. for me. its been 20+ years.. and I remember it like yesterday..

Someone may have been watching over you.

Just take some time to calm down, realize that things could have been much worse, and that money was better off being taken than a life. I'm very happy things turned out okay in regards to no one getting hurt in the bank.

That's terribly scary...glad you're okay and everyone else was. I just don't get robbing a bank...it just seems so easy to get caught.

But your story creeped me out for another reason. One of my favorite clients came in with the typical 'hood uniform (baggy sweats and black hoodie) to visit and chat as he does every day. He was asking me where there was the closest bank of America and I was googling locations for him. We were also trying to convince him not to go out jumping people and robbing them during the convo. Some where in there he pulled a black bandana over his face, and then I said something along the lines of, "WEll, I'd take you to the bank in my car if my husband didn't have it, but now I'm afraid you're going to rob it."

Why people share these things is beyond me.
