I get most of my recipes from allrecipes.com or the food network. A couple of years ago I made a turkey with canadian bacon and basted it in syrup and it was a total hit. It was a very good recipe I found from the food network, of course. ^_^

I'm thinking or roasting turkey this year over an open fire kind of like a pig. We'll be at some friends' house right on the water in Jersey this year so the back yard faces the Atlantic. Lets see what they say about it.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

grrr, just found out there will be a vegetarian at Thanksgiving this year. Now I have nothing against vegetarians, but they are seriously messing with my world famous sausage stuffing recipe.... And last year, when I did take a little departure from that, I used pancetta (Italian bacon)...yummy. ARRGH!

yeah, along with 65 other dishes I have to make. No, I'm not going to make a separate one just for one person. I'll have to change a few dishes because of one person.

vegetarians shouldn't even have a word in thxgivin, they should bring their little salad and tofu cheese, instead of messing a whole dinner for everybody else who can have some animal fat and meat.. i know its a pain, u can't even bake for them, because u might use lard or something that has animal products (not even jello)

No, our vegetarian isn't a vegan thankfully... then I'd just have to give her some celery and call it a day.
