This is a great place to get information about your travel as well, as most of us have been there. Many that have not been there will say things that sound scarry.

Best wishes

My relatives are closed minded about alot of things. But I trust God in situations..they dont like idea of me traveling overseas..which im like geesh im 39 in July..ahhahahah...but preparations being made for a nice hotel for two weeks and such and you have to live life as destiny leads..in my opinion. Plus yanno people have issues with Internet relationships which i say..they no different than regular ones...i mean we talk on phone, up here and such..and its still getting to know a person..I tell them its about trust and using common sense..but anyway..i dont let anyone rain on my parade...and I hear crazy stuff about Nigeria..I put it under my foot and look forward to nice time. ..Thanks so much for the kind words..it helps to know like i said..its others thats going through and have made it..

Peace

Just want to add my welcome to the list and let you know that you can ask almost anything here and get an answer. Some aren't answers we want to hear, but they sure are what we need. You'll quickly learn that most here are like family and share a similar journey with you. I found this to be a place where I could go and not have to go to my nuclear family. Warm welcome again.

:yes: Hello Livi, I would like to welcome you to visajourney. I would also like to congragulate you on your engagement and your wedding. I laughed so much reading your story because it reminded me so much of my own. I still say to myself today as I did months ago before I decided to travel to meet my sweetheart in Nigeria. I would never have thought in a million years that I would connect and meet with someone way across the world in another country but that just goes to show" you never know what GOD has planned for your life". I can tell you from experience that I too had the same fate with co-workers family and friends and even the travel well clinic advising me of the dangers of making my trip. I can tell you that it went in one ear and straight out the other. I never feared for my safety and there was never a doubt in my mind that I would not be taken care of. If you feel that way now, I say you have made the right decision. I wish you well on your travel !!!:dancing: Please let me know if I can assist you in any way...........please believe me when I say the hardest part will be returning from you trip without your love one and wishing you could do something to expedite the proceedings.

Talk to you soon,

Forchika

Welcome to VJ. I enjoyed your website. I just want to tell you that the hardest thing about Africa to me was leaving my baby in Africa. My baby is from Nigeria, but he has been attending school in Senegal. I went to Africa in January of this year and married my soulmate. I live in a small town and the people here think that you have lost your mind when you go to the other side of the world to be with your soulmate. We can't let people limit us. We serve a God that made the entire world and we just don't know what part of this big wonderful world that God is going to send our mate from. My experience in Africa changed my life. Not only did I meet the most wonderful man in the world, I went to a place that I wouldn't have thought in a million years that I would ever see. If anybody would've told me five years ago that I would go to Africa and get married, I would've told that individual that he/she had lost there mine :D . We just don't know what God has in store for us, but through prayer and the Word of God, we will walk right into our destiny. Congratulations on your marriage and have a good time in Africa.

YOU'RE WELCOME!!!! (You will be hearing this form of greeting left, right, and center pretty soon, so I thought I would break you in! )

Livi, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog! (Yes, I must confess it was refreshing. I found myself reminiscing about my first visit and the multitude of feelings that I experienced--- Anxiety, in every affectation of the word probably best describes the feelings you have when you are meeting that 'special' someone for the first time. Heck, I'm getting anxious all over again, as I sit here and think about it, and its been nearly 3 years ago since our first encounter.

Anyway, I want to wish you a safe and happy journey. Congratulations and best of luck to the both of you as you celebrate your big day!
