I-485 AOS question for someone with no SSN

I am wondering if the SSN field in form I-485 needs to be filled out before mailing out I-485 and the EAD form. I don't have an ssn right now, but would like to get the I-485 and EAD mailed out asap. Hope someone can help!

AOS Journey

--------------------

12/27/08 -- AOS packet mailed

12/29/08 -- Delivery confirmation from USPS

01/09/09 -- Cheque cashed

01/10/09 -- Received NOAs for I-485 and EAD. Also received Biometrics appointment letter.

02/02/09 -- Biometrics finished - Case Touched

02/03/09 -- Case Touched (Both I-485 and EAD)

03/05/09 -- Received EAD in the mail (dated 02/26/09)

03/16/09 -- Received Interview letter (dated 03/11/09)

05/28/09 -- Interview Date

<green card and removal of conditions>

11/02/11 -- Received RFE for Removal of conditions

No ssn needed...fill it out put N/A where it asks for ssn

Greencard (2008):

July 16....AOS mailed;

July 17.......AOS received
July 21.......NOA1 receipt date

July 23.......Check Cashed
July 25.......Received NOA1

July 28.......Received Biometrics appointment
Aug 12.....received RFE notice

Aug 13...Biometrics Appointment

August 19...RFE received, case resumed processing
Oct. 8.........EAD Card production ordered

Oct. 16.......EAD Approval noticed mailed
Oct. 18........EAD in hand (came in mail)
Nov 3.........Interview Notice received in mail
Dec 4.........Interview APPROVED, CRIS email: card production ordered
Dec 9.........Welcome noticed received in mail Dec 9.........card production ordered
Dec 14.......Received greencard in mail

CITIZENSHIP (2014):
May 7...Application mailed out

:no: SSN is NOT needed to file AOS or EAD. If it were required, this would make it IMPOSSIBLE for K-3 visa holders to file.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
