I watched the clips posted because I believe she doesn't 'get' what SLN is doing when they portray her in the way they do. I wasn't disappointed. I certainly wasn't watching with my star detector goggles on She isn't star material and after this fiasco of a VP run, I doubt she'll ever be. I imagine she'll return to Alaska and come election time she'll be booted out. So sad, too bad.

I seriously hope so - the alternative is too awful to contemplate (let alone if she were to run for prez in 2012). Imagine - 4 years of being treated like elementary schoolers by the pit-bull in lipstick.

I don't have to tell myself.. I'm told by republicans. I work with hard-up republicans (lawyers haha) that aren't sure about voting for McCain DUE to Palin.. Colin Powell a republican endorses Obama now.. due to Palin not being fit for president.. thats straight out of his mouth. I really don't have to tell myself anything.

climb the ladder. Why do you think all these lobbyist are paying and playing both on the left or the right.

We never heard anything about Powells part affiliation ... until he was a possible candidate way back when. Dems didn't have a chance so he claimed he was republican .. and it served him well.

I think he is somewhere in the middle thats why it's natural for him to "swing both ways"... if you will.

There are a number of (lifelong) republican sentators who vote with the Democrats on almost every issue, Olympia Snow is one.

Meh,, who knows? One thing is for sure, Mr Buckley did not suffer fools gladly. Interesting observations from him on both the Bush Jr administration and the Iraq war. Some people simply don't seem to research their sources very well.

Well the man was no stranger to controversy and some of his comments were quite radical (specifically in terms of the rights of Blacks to vote). But certainly he was a bit more high-brow than the sort of media people who pass themselves off as bona-fide conservative commentators. After all there must be some intellectual grounding to these ideas that you don't get from the Outrage Express.
