Yeah I have been using my croc pot a lot! I love cooking a meal and then going to sleep while its cooking. I can't wait for my fiance to see it as he does not understand what it is even though I ex it to him. He asks me how can you cook and sleep.. well baby the pot cooks for me! lol

But it has helped me to cook meals that stretch out for about a week. Saves $

yeah i've done the same.. but now i make extra dinner so i can take it the next day for lunch... i've even started going to the bread store too kinda cool there

Mostly skimping on going out to extravagant restaurants, and frequently eating out, as is often the case here as lunch time is also social time. Spending $10-$25 per lunch tends to add up. Also, skipping on Dave & Busters is a wise choice for my wallet.

We're trying to be cognizant of our electrical usage - electricity is muy expensive in HI. Keeping the air conditioner off until we really need it.

We're trying to eat out less and make more meals at home.

We're also thinking that the pets will be on their own and have to start catching their own dinners from now on. Cat food and dog food is expensive. :P

More people must be eating in, several restaurants in our town are closing down putting more unemployed people on the street. Ha, wife and I especially consider Macs to be an extravagant restaurant, go in there and pay 15 bucks for the two of us, and still are hungry. We pack a lunch for our long road trips, assures us that we are eating healthy food.

I've been meaning to get one of those - we don't eat meat but I'm thinking it would be good for cooking dal, subji, pea soup, etc.

I wish I knew where the day-old bread store was around here, used to go to the Love's Bakery store on Fort St. Mall in Honolulu - bet they're doing good business now...

I've stopped going to movies(it helps when you have a cataract in your one good eye and can't see too well anyway - getting that fixed soon) and buy more of what's on sale now - I've always bought generic and store brands so coupons don't really help me anyway - usually the ones in the paper are for expensive name-brand stuff that I would never buy.

the bread store is doing gang busters for sure!!! I laughed cause i have one just around the corner and pop in once a couple of weeks and usually the only person in there. Now there is always a line to check out.... lol i am glad other's have figured it out.
