We've been using the A/C here since February. :( Even though in Florida it's hotter for longer and we may be "used to" a long summer...most people I know put their a/c on as soon as the house temp gets above 74 or so. And that is much of the year! :P

Gawd, still really warm here today. Not as bad as yesterday, but bad enough. Worst part is, it hasnt' even been cool enough nights to cool down the house. Had all the windows open until 2/3 am this morning and then shut them up...but temp never dropped much below, I believe, high 70s overnight. :( Still nearly 80 in here and feels very!! warm. Oh for that central air!!! Craig's earlier email when he got back from work...said he had tshirt on...and had to put jacket on..was chilly. That PUNK!!! :) M.

I don't understand how people can like this weather when you get dressed and you are sticky before you even leave the house. And if one more person suggests fans, I'll slug 'em... cuz fans just move hot air.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Give it a few years and you'll be hooked on hot & steamy. Happened to me...

nope...:no::no: Lived in Florida for awhile and it was one of the reasons I left...at least here I only have to put up with the nastiness for at most 4 months.

Even though I've lived almost my whole life in Florida...I don't like the weather! :dead: I hate how hot and humid it gets. But I don't want to move out of Florida either, for many other reasons! And the central A/C is what gets us through!!

Just recently my Uncle from Pennsylvania got the "nice" opportunity to sit with a redneck for a couple hours while the rest of us had to go to a baby shower. My family are all from up north as are many people around here. My mom said in front of that man, "wow it's hot". And the man said "The only people who complain are the da*** yankees. They can go back home up north and each take 10 more yankees with em!". We were like UHHHh we are all yankees, thanks sir. My poor uncle had to be in the same room as him for a couple hours waiting for the shower to be over.

I don't know. Last summer (folks in Cincinnati actually believe that it gets hot and humid here  and complain about it) I missed something. And when we went down to FL last week, I remembered what it was. It first hit me when we stopped in Hotlanta. It was that great feeling of hot air with a good amount of moisture mixed in. Love it. And even if I didn't, there's just nothing as bad as a nasty winter... :P
