I disagree - it was brought up at the time he said that by those who oppose Obama.

It just appears the majority (or perhaps the more prolific) are Obama supporters, therefore it might appear to be less leeway given to the GOP ticket. *shrugs*

Additionally - the amount of mistakes Palin has made since she was named VP candidate sets her up for (honestly) bigger laughs each time she messes up. She does not disappoint those who hope to hear another gaffe. That;s why it gets so much attention, IMHO - she does it again & again.

The mainstream media has shown itself to be biased for Obama, so it doesn't publicize gaffes from him or from Biden. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they don't make them. By posting Obama's "57 states" gaffe, I've just about killed this thread because few here want to ridicule him. At least they're smart enuf to see that continuing to ridicule Palin in light of the Obama gaffe is hypocritical. That's an improvement.

Seriously, thou dost giveth thyself way too much credit.

Every time Obama misspoke, particularly during the Democratic nomination process, it was reported here with glee by multiple people.

Actually, hardly anyone would refer to the Northwest as Alaska. Sounds a lot like the New England "diarrhea of the mouth".

Her entire speeches are dull, stupid, simplistic, and cater to people who only listen to aphorisms and Faux News.

This is merely status quo for her, if you've paid attention at all to her speeches, rather than try to defend it like a Palin cheerleader.

I see more news about her speeches on the various threads on vj ... seems ppl here are infatuated with her ...

Northwest ... it is the NW part of this continent ... yes? I'm not from Alaska ... so if Alaskans don't consider themselves part of the NW ... so be it. I have heard they don't consider themselves part of the lower 48. Do you have an issue with the this too?

Wonderful! I'm glad to hear it! And glad I got to do it too.

When I lived in Juneau, I lived in the Pacific NW, and so did others living there. This is not even an issue.

Alaska considers themselves "Alaska", different from the lower 48, as BC and the YT are not part of the U.S. Wouldn't make sense to call Hawaii the "west", either, would it? Would make sense to just call it Hawaii.

And her speeches include "maverick", "support the troops", "hockey mom", and so forth. Of course those who have a thing in their heads called a "brain" will make fun of such stupidity when this is the 2nd highest position in the U.S. government. It really has no place going to some idiot hockey mom with little credentials in dealing with laws and foreign countries (neither of which has has much experience with at all, nor any personal history of learning about).

Her nomination, and if she were elected, the former insulting enough, but the latter would be insulting to anyone who has even the slightest bit of intelligence. Of course, VW really has little to no actual praise for Palin's credentials, so the only thing to do is attack Obama.

No one in Alaska is offended by being characterized by the idea of living in part of the Pacific NW. It is part of the continent, ya know. The western part, by the Pacific Ocean . . .

I'm a Palin fan. That's no secret. I like her better than I like McCain. My disaffection for Obama is heightened by the mindless love for him here.

So your Palin fanaticism is somehow better than Obama's bandwagon?

Interesting.

Boy, we really did lose something tonight. Where did you learn your English?

The subject is Obama, the bandwagon is his. Hence, Obama's bandwagon. Is there something lost in translation? Or ESL?

It's you that makes no secret of your Palin love.

What is there to grasp at straws for?

have you fallen off the wagon ... and been left behind?

Guess that means you have no actual retort regarding your lack of understanding regarding the English language. As was just mention, thanks for clearing that up.
