If it is about 3 oz. or less then you can have it in your carry-on bag.

I carried on my mineral make up when I travelled to Jordan. No problems!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. I have read through what is allowed on the TSA web site, but there is no mention of makeup in powder form. Have any of you put it in your carry-on bag? Do I have to fit it all in a quart sized ziploc, or is it ok? I have a lot of it, and don't think that I can fit it all in the tiny ziploc, but don't want to risk it getting lost with my checked luggage.

Thanks for your help!

See my comment above. I HAVE taken it on carry on on numerous occasions including an international flight with no problems. I had it in my make up bag, inside my carry on bag.

If you're not travelling to the US there will be no problem the 3-1-1 policy applies on a trip going to the US..

maybe you can just put it on your check in luggage..

Words of advice - don't put anything in your carry-on (or checked bags for that matter) that if questioned, you can't live without - I've seen countless people have to throw away expensive perfumes, make-up, etc in order to pass security. The rules change depending on security levels.

Human heads don't seem to cause a problem, though....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I would say powdered makeup is fine as well.

However, I took some LUSH bathbombs and solid bubble bars domestically and was stopped and questioned. Went to secondary security. LUSH uses almost all natural ingrediants....lots of fruits, nuts, etc.....Not sure if that is what set something off or just the shape of them; but it was something.

I don't think for a second they would take your makeup away from you. But, there is a chance you may go to secondary for a minute.

No worries.
