Missing Mumps Vaccine

I have my AOS Interview on 22nd June and although I have all my other vaccine's up-to-date, a titre was run and I am Not immune to Mumps (I am immune to everything else) We discussed this with the Civil Surgeon as we're trying to conceive. She said that it was dangerous to administer the vaccine if there was a chance that I could be pregnant or was to become pregnant within a month of having the vaccine. She advised not to have the vaccine done at this time and wait until after we'd had a baby. She wrote this on the Supplement Form and ticked the box that said that Immunizations were Not complete, but should be once I'd had a baby.

With the interview coming up, could this result in a denial or a delay? I'm not pregnant yet, but we are actively trying.

Any thoughts or advice?

Don't know exactly how yours may be somewhat similar as my wife's - but her vaccination worksheet is checked off as 1) Vaccine history Incomplete and 2) Applicant may be eligible for blanket waivers because ____ blank!

Yes this area is completely blank and no explanantion is written.) This caused us no problem, howver my wife did have the mumps shot for the K1 which is reflected on the same worksheet. Good Luck

With the Dr's note on the form I think you should be fine. I was pregnant at the time I did the medical, so the dr also wrote "complete vaccinations after delivery." That was not a problem at all. Hope the interview goes well for you.

Hmmmm dunno Kate. Normally I wouldn't answer just to say "I don't know" but just basically wanted to say hello too...glad your AOS is coming up pretty quick..woooo hoooooo! All the best with it, and I'm sure you'll get some good answers here before long. Mich
