Hi! This is my first post after a long time of trying to figure out how to do this LOL. Ok, I am just going to ask a simple question which has been hanging on my mind everytime i check other's vj's timeline. What do you mean by " Touched" on the timeline? I've been checking USCIS everyday before i go to work, even at the office and after the office just to check if there's any progress with our pending I-130 & I-129. I am also looking around the timeline that other people posted here to at least, give me an idea how long does it usually takes to get the petitions approved from the NOA1. My husband and I just celebrated our 6th wedding monthsary...and we're hoping to get done with all the papers before our 1st year wedding anniversary next year. Please if you have some tips to share with me which could help our case will be appreciated. Thanks! :star:

I hate to burst your bubble, but an I-130 almost always takes longer than 6 months to process from start to finish. K-3's might get application approvals in 6 months but then to get the visa, do interview, etc...

We'll be lucky if we can get it done before our second wedding anniversary at this point...

Maybe others have better news for you, but this is what I have seen.

Touched just means the last updated date has changed on the USCIS website....that's what the touch means. If you go online, you notice there is a last updated date. When that date changes, there is your touch.

Look at other timelines, you might get lucky.

***I-130***

5.24.07 - I-130 Received in CSC

7.14.07 - Received NOA1 (WOW after 6 weeks, I was worried...called INS and told me CSC had a computer "glitch" causing delays on printing Receipt notices and approvals)

10.30.07 - APPROVED No email, the NOA2 came in the mail...hard copy.

***1-129F***

7.23.07 - I-129F received in Chicago

Guess I should just expect that we wont be together on our first wedding anniversary waaaaaaaaa, this sux! I saw one vj's timeline which petition i-129F has been approved after 3 days from the received of NOA1. I heard that other people had to call a congressman to expedite their papers which I think is totally "unfair". What happened to the First In, First Out policy? oh well...let's just continue to pray~ :innocent: thanks for the reply and goodluck! :star:
